1. Best used at source (transmitter).

2. Maximizes power delivery to the load.

3. Does not minimize reflections unless Zs is real.

4. Normally done by the transmitter manufacturer at the circuit design level.

5. Ideally Zs(ext) = 50 ohm.

Load Matching: ZL = Zo

1. Best used at ends of transmission lines.

2. Minimizes reflections.

3. Does not maximize delivered power unless ZL is real.
